Not All Jewellery Is Created Equal!

Having a piece of jewellery made just for you is a very different experience to picking something from a high-street jeweller's window. The joy of knowing that you have had a hand in creating a piece that is completely unique, makes your jewellery even more special. Modern CAD technology allows you to see how your commission will look before the hands on work begins, and ensures that your ring looks exactly as you want it to.

But not all jewellers work this way, and unfortunately not all rings are created equal.

Here we tell Kate’s story….

Creating a delicate rub setting around gemstones is not for the faint hearted, but we think it is essential to showcase your gemstones and ensure that your ring looks amazing!

A client recently came to us full of guilt. Her husband had very thoughtfully commissioned a ring for a 'big' birthday using her grandmother's gemstones. She was incredibly grateful, but the ring just didn't feel right. The setting was clunky, and didn't reflect who she was and all that the treasured inherited jewellery meant to her.

Having spoken to her husband, she tentatively approached us to see if we could recreate her ring in a more delicate setting.

We created a number of options, and after small amendment to the final design, work began to create our client's gorgeous new piece.

Throughout the process, the focus was on allowing the diamonds and that amazing blue sapphire to sparkle, as they hadn't done before. Needless to say our client was thrilled with the finished ring!
