2. Eligibility to Purchase
You must be at least 18 years of age to place an order through our website or directly with us.
3. Formation of Contract
By placing an order, paying a deposit or approving a design, you are offering to purchase goods subject to these terms and conditions.
A binding contract is formed once your deposit payment is received. All deposits for bespoke work are non-refundable.
Bespoke jewellery commissions are created specifically to your instructions and therefore cannot be cancelled, returned or exchanged, except where required by law.
4. Prices & Payment
All prices are stated in Pounds Sterling (GBP).
Payment may be made by debit/credit card or bank transfer. You may make your deposit payment at the time of order, and the remaining balance is due prior to delivery or collection.
Ownership of goods transfers to you only once full payment has been received.
For international customers, you are responsible for all applicable import duties, taxes and customs charges, which may be invoiced separately by the shipping provider or authorities.
5. Delivery
We aim to deliver within the estimated timescales agreed at the time of ordering. However, delivery dates and times are approximate and may be affected by circumstances beyond our control.
We are not liable for any loss, cost or damage caused by delayed or failed delivery.
If we anticipate a delay, we will contact you to agree a revised delivery timeframe where possible.
Goods become your responsibility once delivered, or once delivery is attempted and delayed due to your unavailability or refusal to accept delivery.
6. Availability
All items are subject to availability. If we are unable to supply the goods you have ordered, we will refund any payments already made but will not be liable for additional compensation or damages.
7. Warranty
Legacy Jewellery (Christopher Stoner Bespoke Limited) offers a lifetime warranty against manufacturing faults on all jewellery we create.
This warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear;
- Loss or theft;
- Accidental damage or impact damage (including gemstone chips and abrasions from wear);
- Pearls or pearl stringing;
- Chains;
- Damage caused by third-party alterations, resizing or repairs;
- Damage discovered after removing stones from their original settings;
- Misuse, lack of care, or failure to follow care advice.
Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
8. Satisfaction Guarantee
We want you to be delighted with your bespoke Legacy piece. If you are not completely satisfied at the time of collection or delivery, we will work with you to redesign the piece.
Depending on the scope of changes requested, additional charges may apply. Any such charges will be discussed and agreed before further work is carried out.
9. Working With Customers’ Diamonds & Gemstones – Disclaimer
9.1 No Guarantee of Stone Integrity
When we work with your existing diamonds or gemstones, these stones have not been supplied by us and may have an unknown history. We therefore cannot guarantee their:
- Structural integrity;
- Quality or durability;
- Authenticity;
- Previous treatments or enhancements;
- History of wear, damage or stress.
Damage such as cracks, chips, fractures or other weaknesses may be hidden beneath existing settings, dirt, or metal and only become visible once the stones are unset and cleaned.
9.2 Discovery of Damage
If cracks, chips, fractures, instability or other issues are discovered after unsetting your stones, we will notify you and record findings with photographs where possible.
9.3 Limitation of Liability for Customer-Owned Stones
We take the utmost care when handling all diamonds, gemstones and existing jewellery. However, due to the unknown nature, age and condition of stones not supplied by us:
We cannot accept liability for accidental damage to customer-owned stones during unsetting, working, polishing or resetting.
You will be asked to confirm acceptance of this disclaimer in writing before we proceed with any work involving your own stones.
