Karen’s Story….
Karen contacted us as she had a number of pieces of jewellery she rarely wore, including a few pairs of diamond earrings and a two-stone diamond ring.
She knew she wanted to create a ring she could wear everyday. A ring created in platinum that would be comfortable and beautiful and showcase her gorgeous diamonds. The challenge was going to be creating an interesting design using all of her diamonds, that were of a similar size to each other.
So, never shy of a challenge….the exciting design process began…..
Karen was keen to use all her diamonds, so we started to explore ideas, from a simple symmetrical band…..
To a much wider symmetrical design….
Karen loved the asymmetry of her final design, the width and impressive scale of her design across three gently tapered bands.
The Creation!
Karen’s Legacy ring was cast in platinum in two separate parts. Her diamonds were expertly and carefully set into the new platinum bands, before the ring was assembled and the final stages of polishing could begin.
The Completed Legacy Ring
Karen’s ring was a huge success! The balanced asymmetry of the diamonds was unusual and beautiful. Karen was delighted with her completed Legacy ring and returned to us some months later for a second Legacy piece!
